Hey, that’s mine!

Hi peeps,
While browsing the web, I found out about CopyScape.com. This site finds copies of your content on the web and shows you those sites who have republished your contents without your authorization and those who did it with your blessings (like Digg.com).
As you may be suspecting by now, I felt curious and though my site is only 4 days old I decided to give it a try. As expected, I found my submissions to Digg.com and… wait… who’s RSS-Software.net? Hey, that’s mine! Yes, I found one of myblog entries being republished at this site without my permission.
I decided to email the guy who appeared at Who.is as RSS Software.net’s administrator about the incident and now I’m waiting his reply. Greg (RSS-Software administrator, a.k.a “G”) has replied. Check his comment below!
You can check the original entry here, it’s submission to Digg.com here and finally it got republished here.

Hey there,
I removed your post. If you don’t want your content picked up on the internet then get rid of your RSS feed. That’s what they are for. To be displayed on other sites. Anyway, I removed your content. Please remove your RSS feed so that no more of your content is published since you obviously don’t want it displayed on other websites.
Thanks,
G

Hey, don’t take it hard mate ;). I just don’t support the idea of people taking someone’s contents without any notice and then upload it to their sites just like that. I won’t remove my RSS feed since I want to share my stuff with the world but that doesn’t give you or anybody the right to take it and claim it as yours. It’s just not right.
Anyway, thanks for removing my entry from your site
Have a nice day, Greg!

Hi ikki,
Also we cant go both ways xD
I do think that we dont want to give out our hard work for free to other people but at the same time we cannot afford to lose on our potential members.
Nice time,
Skizon
